Closson Brings Decades of Operational Experience from Automotive Sector to Elevated Role
New Water Capital (“New Water”), an operationally-focused lower middle market private equity firm, today announced it has promoted Dwight Closson to Partner. In his new role, Dwight joins New Water’s Co-Founders on the firm’s investment committee, and he will continue to lead the firm’s operational initiatives with all portfolio companies.
Since joining New Water Capital in 2019 and serving as the firm’s Managing Director of Operations, Dwight has made valuable contributions to the firm’s growth and success. With over 25 years as a visionary automotive manufacturing professional, Dwight has a long history of serving in high-level operations positions at world-class manufacturers.

Dwight has worked with numerous privately and publicly owned manufacturing organizations including Midway Products Group, Faurecia Automotive and Eaton Corporation. Directly prior to joining New Water, he served as Chief Operating Officer for Quality MetalCraft, an automotive supplier of stampings and assemblies, where he led strategic operational initiatives resulting in 20-100% improvement in a variety of performance areas including safety, cost, quality, delivery, and working capital.
